This toner contains calendula and it is alcohol-free which is good for sensitive skin as it doesn't irritate my skin. However, it doesn't provide other effects like minimizing the pores. It is also not moisturizing enough. So, a strong hydrating moisturizing cream or lotion is a must to keep the skin hydrating.
Like other Kiehl's products, this toner has simple packaging. The price is a bit high which makes me look for other toners that have similar or better effects.
In short, I would say this toner is just good for soothing sensitive skin and reducing redness. You can't really expect this will improve your skin condition miraculously.
Whenever I have irritated skin, I just have to dab some of the toner on the cotton wool n mask it on my face for 15mins. The skin is less red and not itchy anymore.
Alchohol free... Really? A little sceptical at first, but decided to give it a try ☺️
Worked amazing miracles! Did what it was meant to do and did not leave a sticky residue after use, which is one thing I hate the most, the sticky feeling on my face 😡😡
Pricey but recommended for those who are really into skincare or need a substantial toner 😉
This toner leaves my sensitive/combination skins refreshed. I have noticed a marked reduction in redness and sensitively and pimples/spots are less red and disappearing. This toner works great on my oily parts too, as it doesn't strip it of the oil but my skin also feels clean, soothed and toned. I love how my face wouldn't feel sticky and greasy when I apply moisturizer after this. Although it is a bit pricey a little really does go a long way.
This is a product i have mixed feelings for. It does feel soothing and calms redness and eliminates dry patches on my skin after application, but i find it to be over-priced and that there are better options out there. I do however enjoy that it is alcohol free and its medicinal/tea-like smell.
Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner, Alcohol-Free, for Normal to Oily Skin Type is such a basic, nearly do-nothing toner that the price is ludicrous. If you’re interested in calendula for skin care, buy a bottle of the oil from a health food store or steep the plant in hot water, let it cool, and bottle your own. Either option is an improvement over this product.
