This product just made me WOW! I knew this product during my trip in Korea. A friend of mine actually knew this product and purposely want to buy it at Korea. I didn't know about this until my friend told me it was makeup cleanser in balm form. Sounds interesting. Since she is buying 4 to get cheaper price, she asked me if I want to share. So I decided to get 1 instead. I tried it the night after we bought it. It's really a very good product! Clean your makeup in few minutes only!! Base, eyebrow, eyeliner, mascara, everything on your face. It feels like oily since it's balm form but when you wash it with water, it turned white and it's not oily at all. Wash with cleanser after use this, you will feel fresh! I recommended this product, it's really worth the money!
Bought the makeup from an online seller.
I am a huge korean make up lover hence I always do double cleansing for my face whenever i apply make up. I have seen this product being raved online by a lot of korean make up gurus from youtube hence I decided to give it a shot and I really like how it melt away my make up leaving my face feeling so clean. Its very gentle on my skin and it does not give me any break outs. The texture is really nice and its not oily on my face at all even tho its an oil base make up remover. You can literally see all your make up coming off. One bad thing about this is that when it use it to remove your eye make up your vision will be blurred, so I will not recommend it to be used on the eye. Other then that everything is fine and i will definitely recommend it to people.
I bought 3 bottles during my last trip to Korea. This cleanser is the one of the best selling products in Korea. The bottle itself is beautifully packed in a box, it has zero scent. Very much to my surprise, I do not have to use any cotton wipes along with it. How to use - You only have to make sure your face is pat dry, apply a thumbful of amount and gently wipe it on your eyeshadow area (Coz usually eyeshadow is the hardest to come off). Within few seconds, you can see all the makeup come off eventually and you don't have to rub with all your might. After the cleansing, the face does not feel dry at all. The face still feels moisturized. Thumbs up for this product!
Pros: Very effective in removing make up and leaves skin feeling moisturized after using it. Definitely prefer this over other make up removers.
Cons: Although it is highly effective, it is also very expensive. As Singapore doesn't carry this brand, it is difficult to get this product here.
Coming in a pink box with a pastel pink container and a bright pink lid, the Banila Co Clean it Zero also comes with a spatula for you to scoop up the product for not only hygiene purposes, but also because of the fact that the product turns to liquid (oil) upon contact with the skin. Because of this, I would say a little goes a long way and there is a tendency to scoop up too much product. Not to worry though as through time you'll definitely be able to gauge how much you'll definitely need. Usage is to apply onto the face, massage the face and spend more time on places with waterproof makeup, wet hands and massage again to emulsify the product and then rise off. I usually double cleanse so I follow it with a foaming cleanser.
As for removing waterproof makeup, this remover does a fairly decent job. On my hand there was waterproof liquid liner (dolly wink -Black, K-palette - Brown), lip tints (Etude house cherry tint - pink, Peripera ink - orange) and gel pencil liners (Innisfree gel liner - black and brown). The dolly wink needed some massaging to get rid off while the others came off fairly easily except for the peri pera tint, which you can see is still slightly there even after adding water to emulsify it and rinsing it.
Another note that it has a scent to it so if you're not a fan of strong scents, this might be strong for some. In fact, after only rinsing with water, the scent still lingers. It also clouds the eyes when massaging away the waterproof eyeliner in the eyes and some people do not like that feeling. Though if it happens, rinse your eyes with water and dry it. Luckily enough, it did not sting my eyes while it clouded it.
Overall I would say this is a fairly good product and lasts a very long time. However, I find that there are other products with a similar price tag that does a better job as this product tends to also leave a sort of film on the skin after washing it off which makes me wonder if it did wash my foundation off well enough. I find that I like to bring this for travels (since it's not liquid) but I tend to strive towards my other makeup removers at home.
